Believe it or not, there are many misconceptions about what content marketing is.
Content marketing shares informative content that is relevant, interesting,
and useful to your target audience.
There are four forms of content:
The written word (ordinary blog posts)
Audio
Video
Pictures
I'm mainly talking about writing, audio, and video on my blog, so we'll go through each of these
different types of content later in this post.
The most important thing to remember is that your job is to be useful. It doesn't make
sense to create any content if your audience doesn't get any value from it.
Your goal is to help them, improve their quality of life and establish themselves as a thought leader - someone they can trust to lead them through the challenges they face because it relates to your area of expertise.
Content Marketing is one of the best ways to do this.
Why Invest in Content Marketing?
When done well, content creates brand value, which means: your brand becomes more valuable
over time if you continue to create valuable content. And the more you help your audience, the
more your brand will gain a reputation as a leader in its field.
This creates an effect where you start to generate more and more momentum until you
suddenly take control of your field.
The basic way content provides value to you as a business is organic traffic (organic audience). . Here, people discover you on some kind of search platform, such as Google, YouTube, or a podcast directory, and visit your content.
It is different from other types of traffic for one critical reason - these people are
looking for you. They are actively looking for information about your business - that's how they discovered you.
On every other platform, you interrupt whatever they are doing. They are passive observers
instead of active seekers. It is usually much harder and much more expensive to do this type of
marketing (I mean Facebook ads, YouTube ads, and any other type of advertising).
Here's the difference in a nutshell:
You have to reach your audience on those platforms. But with organic traffic, your audience is
coming to you.
This should excite you for several reasons:
These people have a problem.
They are aware of the problem.
They want to solve a problem.
All three are critical "ingredients" for online sales making content marketing unique to growing
your business.
A content marketing strategy is a plan to build an audience by publishing, maintaining, and
disseminating frequent and consistent content that educates, entertains, or inspires foreigners to
turn into fans and fans into customers.
In other words, you build relationships and solve problems.
If you create value and equip your readers with the information they need to solve any
the problem they face, your content will succeed, If you don’t, all the fine writing, headlines,
and strategies will do nothing.
What’s even better, if you can be the one to let your audience know they have a problem they
didn’t know existed, and provide them with the perfect solution, you’ll create clients for a
lifetime.
Even if there are other, better solutions, they will not be interested - you will always be the
authority in their heads because you helped them first.
But before you start pumping content like a machine, you need to do three things:
1. Determine Who is your (Potential) Customer
It all starts with who your customer is.
What does he want? What are they struggling with? How do they look?
You need to thoroughly understand how your client thinks before you start. You have to speak
their language.
For example in my case. My potential customers are people who want to learn how to make
money online.
2. What Information They Need
Now you have to step into their "shoes" and go through their journey as a customer.
What steps do they need to take to do business with you? What do they need to know before
buying from you and in what order?
Again, I cite myself as an example. I write about various ways to make money online on my blog.
I know that my audience will search for it on the Internet and that is how they find my blog. They
need information on how to start making money online and I am writing about it.
3. Choose the Way You Present Yourself
You become a bit of an artist here.
You need to determine how you will pass this information on to them.
Which format will you use? Video? Or the written word?
What stories should you tell? What tone and voice will resonate the most?
The better you know your audience, the easier it will be to determine.
In the end, you have to run with your intuition, and then relentlessly experiment and adapt.
In my case, I chose the blog as a means of communication between me and my audience. It
can be Instagram and YouTube and TikTok, etc.…
However, in my opinion, blogging is the best solution because it allows you to make
passive income.
Audience Building
The key to building an audience is to write useful, relevant content on a particular topic
to build relationships through your writing and content.
Although the number of existing blogs has increased dramatically, and the world on the Internet
looks different than in 2006, the basics are still the same.
This brings me to a critical point regarding your content.
To build an audience, you have to earn it.

To shamelessly add your unique voice to the world.

Blogging
A tried and tested way to use writing as a platform for content marketing is blogging.
When you say the word "blogging", most people think of a misunderstood hipster who shares
his thoughts and feelings with the world from his bedroom. They exist, but that is not what we
are focusing on here.
We are focused on using the blog to gain an audience, build relationships and market and expand
your content and of course, make money.
A blog should live on your site, usually as a subdomain or as another part of your website.
Most website platforms have a built-in blog feature that you can easily enable.
A typical blog has three components:
Posts
Oznake (tags)
Categories
The post is your written text. Think of it as one episode or a unit of content. There is usually one
a topic that is explored throughout the post.
The hot topic here is length. How much debt should your post be? The longer the better,
right?
Not necessarily. It all depends on the goal of the post and what you are trying to achieve.
A typical blog post has 500-1000 words. This is what you will find on your average, common blog.
It depends on your writing, where your topic and the understanding of your audience come to the fore.
However, my recommendation is to confirm that EACH of your blog posts has a minimum of
1000 words and to aim for 1500-2000 words. Why? Because longer content ranks much
better on Google.
Google will rank content with 2000 words rather than that with 500 or 800 words, that is simply a
fact.
And when it comes to creating audiences, let’s talk about one of the main ways you’ll drive
traffic to your blog: search engine optimization (SEO).
SEO Optimization
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of adjusting your content to better rank it in search engine results.
I'm not talking about system fraud here. It used to work, but as search engines improved, those types of "black" techniques almost disappeared.
Nowadays, working with a search engine works much better, and to do that, you must first understand how search engines work and what their motives are.
The goal of the search engine (Google) is to provide you with the most relevant information possible for any sentence, question, or query you enter.
The more successful they are, the more likely you are to use their platform, which means they will be able to show you more ads. That's how they make their money (that's how every free platform on the Internet works).
So how do they know what is relevant or not?
Cataloging every existing website (also known as Google indexing ).
Occasionally, a search engine robot will "dig" through your blog, going through every page, every picture, every word, and every link, to find out where you belong in the online world. By analyzing the content on your site, search engines categorize you and save your information for later.
They show you every existing web page that mentions the thing you entered.
No one reviews them all. Most people don't even go through the first page, which begs
the question, "How do you get to the first page?"
Then try to think about what someone who needs the information you share could enter into a
search engine.
For example, if you're writing an article about retirement tips for people in their 30s, someone
might be looking for "how to save for retirement in their 30s," or even just "retirement advice."
When you think of a few phrases, choose the one you want to focus on.
You want to use the correct phrase in your article.
I'm not saying that you should mention a phrase in every paragraph, but it should be in the title
of the text as well as part of your introductory paragraph.
Lastly, your goal is to be as useful and relevant as possible to one specific topic.
As people find your article and get in touch with it, you will gain a reputation among search
engines as relevant and you will be rewarded with higher rankings, resulting in higher traffic,
resulting in better reputations, resulting in higher rankings and therefore higher blog traffic.
This way you can bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to your blog and effectively build your
business completely on your own.
Now let's talk about the art of engaging readers with the written word. I'm talking about
copywriting.
Copywriting
Have you ever read one of those long Facebook ads to the end?
These ads use copywriting to grab your attention and keep it throughout the length of the
ad.
Copywriting is the art of using the written word to engage, coerce and persuade. Whenever you
come across a written word in any form of advertising, you are copywriting.
After all, you are just writing a blog. You don’t have to know anything about copywriting, do you?
Wrong.
Becoming a skilled copywriter is one of the fastest and most effective ways to improve your
content marketing results.
There’s no way I’m going to be able to cover everything you need to know about copywriting in
this post. It is simply too broad and deep a topic.
However, I can share some of the basic elements of good copywriting that you can use to
immediately start improving your content and engaging your audience.
Work On Titles
Good copywriters know that titles matter.
It is the only thing that determines whether your content will be read or not.
A good title is clear, concrete, and intriguing. He should also tell the reader what to expect,
and at the same time tease them about what is inside.
Your title should also qualify your reader, which means it should attract your target audience. If
it is too vague, the reader will start reading - thinking that the article refers to them - only to
discover that it has nothing to do with them. He will feel cheated.
This is critical. You are not just trying to get anyone to click to read your article. That becomes meaningless. You want the right person to read your article, someone you know will benefit from it.
Stick to Simplicity
One of the main problems of copywriting is too much complexity which makes your message confusing.
A good copy is about breaking things down so your reader can easily and quickly understand what you're talking about. This means not using complicated words, insider speech, technical jargon, and long, perfectly structured sentences.
It's like a death sentence for your copy (text).
Instead, break up the sentences. Simply state your point. Find the easiest and simplest way to say what you are trying to say. Otherwise, your reader will have to make an effort to go through what you are writing and get confused.
As a result, they do nothing. They don't read, they don't share, they don't buy, nothing.
That's not what you want. So make your writing simple and accurate.
Creating content is not easy. Creating content that is actually worth someone's attention is even harder.
But the reward is worth it. You will build loyal readers who resonate with you, your brand, and your values.
Start Building Great Relationships
As you can see, content marketing is a great discipline with a lot of variety.
This can be quite stressful, especially if you are just starting.
